About Us

PlayMore! is a Nonprofit Organization established in 2010.

 

We believe that sports is a tremendous source of energy to improve our lives and the lives of our community.

 

We promote sports and social activities open to all, with a special focus on people in fragile conditions.

 

We hope to welcome you soon, on the fields of the PlayMore! Center PlayMore! or within one of our classes, events and social projects!

 

 

 

Our goals are.

SPORT

 

Promoting the practice of sports, experienced as:

- time for play, recreation and fun;

- opportunity for personal growth and enrichment through discussion with others;

- means of spreading a culture based on shared values such as respect, fairness, commitment, nonviolence and anti-racism;

- opportunities to get involved by opening themselves up to new challenges and experiences, on and off the field.

HEALTH

 

Encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, through movement and regularly practiced sports activity, to counter sedentariness and improve individual and collective mental and physical health and well-being.

INTEGRATION

 

To promote integration among people beyond all differences in age, gender, social status, ethnic origin, religion and ability, fostering the inclusion of social groups experiencing hardship and valuing diversity as a resource for the growth of the individual and society.

TERRITORY

 

Reaching out and enlivening marginal urban spaces with sports to promote their development, offering the local community places for gathering, playful activities and recreational events organized in collaboration with actors operating in the area.

TRAVEL

 

To promote travel understood as an opportunity for knowledge, learning and discovery, as an opportunity to value differences between countries, cultures and traditions, and as a means of spreading a culture of mutual understanding and respect among peoples.

COMMUNITY

 

Fostering people-to-people encounters by developing an international community of sports enthusiasts that through an open and participatory model, inspired by principles of equal opportunity, meritocracy, co-responsibility and multiculturalism, creates opportunities for sociability even beyond sports.

Encourage the use of new communication technologies, especially the Internet, not as a network of exclusively virtual relationships, but as a means of reducing distances between people and creating concrete opportunities to meet and share experiences in the real world.
