PlayMore! It is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010.

 

We believe that sports are an extraordinary source of energy for improving our lives and those of our community.

 

We promote sports and social activities open to everyone, with a special focus on vulnerable individuals.

 

We hope to welcome you soon—either on the fields at the PlayMore! Center or at one of our courses, events, or social projects!

SPORTS

 

To promote participation in sports, viewed as:

– a time for play, recreation, and fun;

– an opportunity for personal growth and enrichment through interaction with others;

– a means of promoting a culture based on shared values such as respect, loyalty, commitment, nonviolence, and anti-racism;

– opportunities to step out of your comfort zone and embrace new challenges and experiences, both on the field and off.

HEALTH

 

To promote a healthy and active lifestyle through regular physical activity and sports, in order to combat a sedentary lifestyle and improve individual and collective physical and mental health and well-being.

INTEGRATION

 

To promote integration among people regardless of differences in age, gender, social status, ethnic origin, religion, and ability; to foster the inclusion of socially disadvantaged groups; and to value diversity as a resource for the growth of both individuals and society.

TERRITORY

 

To reach out to and revitalize marginalized urban areas through sports in order to promote their development, offering the local community places to gather, recreational activities, and events organized in collaboration with local stakeholders.

To promote travel as an opportunity for knowledge, learning, and discovery; as a way to celebrate the differences among countries, cultures, and traditions; and as a means of fostering a culture of mutual understanding and respect among peoples.

To foster connections among people by building an international community of sports enthusiasts that, through an open and participatory model inspired by the principles of equal opportunity, meritocracy, shared responsibility, and multiculturalism, creates opportunities for social interaction even beyond the realm of sports.

Encourage the use of new communication technologies, particularly the Internet, not as a network of exclusively virtual relationships, but as a means of bridging the gaps between people and creating concrete opportunities to meet and share experiences in the real world.
